annual GWL trip {massive picture share}

we took our annual trip to great wolf lodge a couple weeks ago. we just spent one night this time, which was plenty. the boys got to go to the pool all afternoon/evening the day we got there, and most of the next day as well. there is so much for them to do - water park, arcade, art center, etc. we even remembered to bring their halloween costumes & got in some trick-or-treating around the hotel at night. we were given a map of the shops that were handing out candy, and they got a big cookie at the end :)

the boys spent just about the entire time at the water park. they were sure prune-y by the time we left! this is the only time i took out my camera in the hotel, but still managed to snap about 200 pics in 15 minutes, haha. i definitely need a waterproof camera next time - it was a little nerve wracking trying not to get it wet with 100 kids splashing around, but i had to get the pictures! 

each time we left the pool area, grady was asking to go back again. there was a toddler pool area with slides, boats, and water-spraying jet skis (which were grady's absolute favorite). it was hard to get him away from 'the boats'. he is again, our little cautious child, so i could only get him to go down a slide with me once (by bribing him with ice cream after). drew however, loooooved the slide! he had fun going down it, and even just watching other kids go down it. it's crazy how two brothers can be so different :)

they also spent a lot of time in the wave pool. grady would swim around until the waves started, then run away. however, he did have a fun time jumping over them, over and over. drew loved the waves and wasn't afraid one bit. he would have sat there all day until they plowed him over :)

this was our 3rd annual trip to the lodge. it was sad thinking we probably won't be back next year. it took a week for grady to let me take his wrist band off - i think he was holding out hope that we'd go back again. even yesterday he asked to go back to great wolf lodge. we'll have to find a fun, new tradition for next year :)
